In the old imperial city of Hue (1802 - 1954) the Vietnamese celebrate their past by allowing foreigners to dress up as emperors and mandarins, living the high life of a foregone era. Joel and Brienne were chosen to be the royal couple, and did a magnificent job at it, dispensing wisdom and many happy smiles on the attention-starved mandarins.

On the way by bus between Hue and Danang we stopped for a quick time at a lovely beach called Lang Co. Pristine water (though a bit warm), and an instant beach tent set up for those foreigners willing to part with a hard earned $1.
